Important Guidelines
- Book pet travel at purchase or ASAP; only 5 pets permitted in cabin per flight, and one per passenger.
- Cabin: use leakproof, approved carrier (≤10 kg pet+carrier, max 55x40x23 cm); pet must stay inside carrier under seat at all times.
- Snub-nosed (bulldog/pug/boxer/Persian cats etc.) and aggressive breeds are banned from hold/cargo for health/safety.
- All pets: minimum age 8 weeks, healthy, not pregnant or nursing; vet certificate (<14 days old), rabies vacc. issued >30 days prior.
- Checked baggage/hold pets: IATA hard crate, pre-booking required; only accepted on select routes/aircraft/seasons; some airports/routes ban hold pets.
- Birds, exotics, rabbits, ferrets, reptiles, and fish must travel as specialized cargo, subject to import/export documents and advance coordination.
- Passenger must present all documents at check-in; animals may be refused for incomplete paperwork or behavior/health concerns at the airport.
- Service animals are permitted free with documentation and advance notice.
Woofly Tips
- Contact S7 customer service before booking to confirm pet space, carrier compliance, and route/airport-embargo applicability (especially in summer/winter).
- Acclimate pet to carrier and ensure size matches S7 rules; routine denials are for non-compliant carriers or pets over weight/size limits.
- Bring digital and paper copies of all veterinary certificates, vaccination, microchip, and import/export paperwork for every border/country on your route.
- Alert staff if traveling with snub-nosed breed; flights in hold may be halted due to temperature or aircraft conditions for safety.
- Arrive early for check-in as pet paperwork will be closely checked and animal must be presented in person.
- Never sedate your animal for air travel unless directed by a vet with certificate—sedated pets may be refused for flight.
