Important Guidelines
- Book your pet online for the best fare and to guarantee space; only a limited number of pets accepted in cabin/hold per flight.
- All soft/hard carriers for cabin pets must not exceed 43x30x20 cm and 8 kg (pet+bag) and must fit under the seat; carriers to be escape/leak-proof and ventilated.
- Crates for hold pets require strict adherence to IATA size/construction rules—solid, leak-proof, absorbent lining, water, ventilation on all sides, and secure door with zip ties.
- Clearly mark all containers with your name, address, and mobile number. Bring extra cable ties for added security on crate doors.
- Pets must be healthy, fit to travel, and meet all destination country vet, vaccine, and documentation requirements; denied boarding if appearing ill, distressed, or not compliant with carrier/health rules.
- Hand baggage limits differ by ticket type if traveling with a pet; confirm allowance in advance and at check-in.
- On connecting flights, pet check and transfer only possible within Norway (Oslo/Bergen/Trondheim), and within 1–2 hour layover window.
Woofly Tips
- Prepare and label all pet documents (passport, vaccine, import/export, health certificates, microchip record) and carry digital and paper copies for all border checks and veterinary inspections.
- Help your pet acclimate to travelling by crate or carrier well before travel—stressed or noisy pets may be denied boarding by staff at check-in or boarding gate.
- Pre-arrange extra time at the airport for pet/document/kennel inspections, especially for hold pets—arrive well ahead of departure time.
- For best pet comfort and legal compliance, avoid booking if temperatures are forecast to be extreme or if rules for crate size/breed are not fully met.
- If traveling with multiple pets, check if they’re eligible to share a carrier or crate according to weight, familiarity, and airline rules.
