Key Guidelines

  • Booking required at least 2 hours prior to departure for pet check-in.
  • Pet and crate combined must not exceed 32 kg.
  • Each passenger may check in only one pet.
  • Aggressive and brachycephalic (snub-nosed) breeds are banned.
  • No pets allowed as cabin baggage (except certified service dogs).
  • Transit pets: Minimum 2.5 hours transit time required if continuing through Beijing, Shanghai, or Chengdu.
  • No dogs to the U.S. as of Feb 1, 2025 (includes service dogs) – temporarily suspended due to CDC ruling.

Required Documents

  • Quarantine certificate by AQSIQ (all pets)
  • Rabies vaccination certificate
  • Import/export permits for international segments
  • ISO-compliant microchip – 15-digit numeric, readable by scanner
