Traveling with pets should be joyful, but for many of us, it’s been a maze of confusion, anxiety, and “no pets allowed” signs. Our story started in Eastern Europe, where we dreamed of adventures with our furry companions—only to discover a world not built for pet travelers.

The Struggle That Sparked Woofly

When we tried to book our first trip with our dog, Daisy, we spent hours digging through airline websites, only to find conflicting information about pet policies. Some airlines allowed pets in-cabin, others only as cargo, and many had hidden fees or confusing restrictions. At airports, staff often gave us different answers than what we’d read online. We even missed a flight once because a carrier measurement was off by two centimeters!

We realized we weren’t alone—every pet owner we met had a similar “travel fail” story. The lack of clear, honest information was making travel stressful for both people and pets.

Building a Better Way

That’s why we launched woofly: a family-run project with a mission to make pet travel simple, joyful, and stress-free for everyone. Our goals are simple:

  • Transparency: We gather and update real policies from airlines and airports, so you know exactly what to expect.

  • Community Wisdom: We share real stories and tips from pet travelers, not just official rules.

  • Tools That Work: From checklists to policy tables, everything is designed to save you time and worry.

  • Support for All Pets: Dogs, cats, rabbits, and more—every companion deserves a seat on your next adventure.

“We believe every pet deserves a place by your side, and every owner deserves honest, helpful support.”
