Key Guidelines
- Booking required at least 2 hours prior to departure for pet check-in.
- Pet and crate combined must not exceed 32 kg.
- Each passenger may check in only one pet.
- Aggressive and brachycephalic (snub-nosed) breeds are banned.
- No pets allowed as cabin baggage (except certified service dogs).
- Transit pets: Minimum 2.5 hours transit time required if continuing through Beijing, Shanghai, or Chengdu.
- No dogs to the U.S. as of Feb 1, 2025 (includes service dogs) – temporarily suspended due to CDC ruling.
Required Documents
- Quarantine certificate by AQSIQ (all pets)
- Rabies vaccination certificate
- Import/export permits for international segments
- ISO-compliant microchip – 15-digit numeric, readable by scanner
